Story Time at the Howland Public Library

Story Time at the Howland Public Library is a great way to encourage a love of reading in young ones in a fun, social environment. Story times involve books, songs, finger play and arts and crafts, depending on the age group. Run by Ginny Figlia, Children’s Librarian.
Story Time Schedule
Baby and Me: Tuesdays 10:30 – 11:30
Toddler Tales: Wednesdays 10:30 – 11:15
Pre-K Story Time: Thursdays 10:30 – 11:15

Come and Play

Wee Play Community Project and the Howland Library collaborate to use the library’s Community Room for a time of play and socializing for children ages 0-4 accompanied by an adult. The purpose of Come & Play is to provide a fun destination for active indoor play. The program runs year-round (check the library calendar for details). Come and Play Schedule

Block Party

Wee Play Community Project offers a weekly playgroup with Imagination Playground Blocks. It is an interactive, transformable space that prompts children to manipulate their environment and create a playspace of their own. With Imagination Playground blocks and loose parts children can create their own narratives, activities and environments; build something and tear it down; or simply enjoy forms and textures. LEGO CLUB

The Library and the Wee Play Community Project invite children ages 4 and up to enjoy building with Legos together every Thursday through April. We will supply the space and the Legos.
