Past Programs

Sprinkler Play

@ Green Street Park

Sprinkler Play is a program we run in the summer at the Green St. Park (25 Green St., Beacon). Two or three times a week, Wee Play volunteers run sprinklers at the park. Pack a picnic and enjoy the park and pavilion. Days and times are posted on our FB/IG pages.

Cloud Forrest

@ Memorial Park

The Cloud Forest is a series of misters we had installed high in the locust trees in the Wee Woods, just above the Wee Play Tot Park. We run these several times a week on hot summer days. Open to all ages. Days and times are posted as they come up on our FB/IG pages. Thanks to One Nature for their vision.

Costume Swap 2022

@ Beacon Park and Rec Pavilion

We are continuing our local tradition of the Halloween Costume Exchange!

This program is a great way to recycle and reuse costumes for all ages, and have costumes accessible to all, especially when costumes can be so expensive for so many.

Do you have a Halloween costume from years past in good condition that your children have outgrown? Trade it in for one that’s new-to-you!

Local families are invited to participate in the Halloween Costume Exchange. Donate a new or gently used, clean, children's costume, and take home another costume in exchange.*

*The fine print: Children's costumes only. We will accept clean costumes with no stains, holes, or runs. We reserve the right to turn away any costume. We cannot guarantee you will find a “perfect” costume in exchange.

Bring family and friends of all ages.
We are at the park so feel welcome to picnic, bring musical instruments with you, however, you would feel most comfortable being at the park. Or bring only yourselves (having a kiddo is not required, we welcome all) and be ready to get a little messy as we create some art together.
